Saturday

Well....I am taking advantage of FREE internet in the Airport to write this. Our flight to Atlanta has been moved from 1:43 to 2:05. So we have time. It's 12:55p.

I wanted to say thanks again for the covering of prayer and support from so many people at Hope. Your prayers were felt and appreciated.

We plan to share briefly in the service tomorrow and then take over the service next Sunday (with our Student-Led Worship Service). Then we will be sharing much more from the trip, sharing the mime we did for the teen night we had, and just have a great morning.

Be there to support us. Thanks.

Friday...already?

We had a great last day. A group of 19 took an hour and a half trip to Baton Rouge to hang drywall in a church plant. We were able to complete 3 rooms (out of 9). It was an exhausting time, but a good one. We’ve been stretch this week. God has and is working. Parents, here’s the flight info: #1591 Gulfport to ATL 1:43pm (3:59p) #203 ATL to CAK 4:35pm (6:16p) Thanks for your continued prayers for us and for all those effected by hurricane Katrina. There is still SO much to do…and there is so little help. Consider helping through prayers, donations and/or your time. We would be glad to get you in contact with New Hope (http://www.newhopecma.com/) for you to be able to help.

Thursday

There is so much to say about today. We saved a house from being demoed to the ground tomorrow. This house has not been touched since Katrina (that was 2 years ago this August). We will share much more about what we did and saw, but i wanted to share this one thing. Brian (the contact for this house and the other house we demoed the inside of - who is not a Christian) is seeing Christ - i believe. Pray that he comes to Christ. He said, flat out, that if it weren't for church groups like ours...NOTHING in New Orleans would be done.

Wednesday...

We had a FULL day today. Site 1 work continued, Demo work continued, and a third group planned last nights Teen Event and canvased the area to promote it. Some of the girls did a great mime...Lizzie MC'd, Carrie shared her testimony...parents attended...all were given the opportunity to accept Christ...and then we played games. It was a great night. Here's the pics to prove it :

Site 1 continued it's drywall and reconstruction - check out Evan's walk through on our YouTube page

Site 2 electrical is finished!!!!

Site 3 (retry of yesterday) - we had great DEMO crews that did an AWESOME job of getting the house demoed. Pray for the owner - Brian - who is not a believer. Pray for an chance to speak with him more tomorrow. He was willing to pray with the crew today - a good step. He's the bald guy in the picture below.

Monday, Monday...

Monday has been really good. We sent out three teams to 3 sites. 2 teams were able to work, and one didn't get to because their host person (their contact) didn't show up.
Overall it's been a really good day.
We have a walk through hosted by Evan Hunter on the YouTube page.
We are planning a Teen Outreach Event for Wednesday night, a Kids Club on Thursday night and a Family Outreach event Friday.
